The Humble Indie Bundle #2

I always make sure to take part of these "name your price" things that indie developers do. Especially if there's a game I know I'll want to check out someday. I got World of Goo in this manner a long time ago and only recently got around to spending a couple of hours with it and it was definitely worth the $5 I decided to spend on it.

Anyway, the Humble Indie Bundle #2 contains Braid, which is a game I've wanted to try for awhile. I probably won't play it for a long, long time. I've got too much going on right now. But I might as well grab it and support the indie development community.

There's less than a week left for this one, so grab it now.

Path to Self-Publishing, Part 4

My printer quote requests have come back, and it appears that my original quote from China is the best I'm going to get, both in terms of cost and minimum quantity. So now I know i need to plan this around a cost of $6 or $7 for printing and shipping to me.

I'm also convinced that I need to hire an artist, so I've put out a call on the geek for one. If you know an artist who would be interested in doing a western-themed game, send him or her my way.

Next steps:

  • Hire artist or do art myself
  • Determine how to handle shipping to customers
  • Set up Kickstarter campaign
